i concur. it's worth it to mod our cars this way, i think, and the S63 is a better drive anyway

I disagree. I wanted a Mercedes I would have bought one. It allows us to keep our fuel economy by adding a super charger but increasing our speed. 500+ horses and averaging 20 MPG? Thats amazing. Plus I want my LEXUS to be faster than any MB or BMW.

Well i have parked on the other side of the garage a beastly ML63 AMG that is a serious fun buggy with close to 600 HP. I just wonder if anyone can crack the system so as to be able to fit turbos or a blower to this 600?

its looking at this point Twin
Turbo's might be the option.

Unless someone is willing to dish out the massive amount of money for the R&D, I don't think a turbo kit for this car will happen, first off it's not a car that's in high demand for a turbo kit, and then of course when you do boost it you'll need to figure out how to tune it and I don't think that's going to be a easy task.

you're not going to get 20mpg with a supercharger though -- i've installed a few on different cars and even if you drive it lightly MPG drops.

i vote that your statement is incorrect.

example:
my AA supercharged e46 m3, ~450 rwhp.
i'd average in the high 20's.

Theoritically MPG should remain unchanged if done correctly. MPG might be less due to driving habits changing from the super charger, but the RR HSE and RR Supercharged dont change in MPG so why would ours?

well, to be honest, it really depends on the tune -- the supercharged cars i've driven came with base tunes with super safe AFRs. i'm sure if the tunes were more refined i would've gotten better MPG out of those cars

The way i see it, i just have to do it. I have no choice in the matter. I think the 600 is a sleeper and no one would ever suspect one of these cars to blow the paint lines off the road.

Well the 5.0 is basically a IS-F engine detuned a little bit, see if you can fit some things that were made for the IS-F 5.0 to your LS...
+I have never heard of any body trying juice more power out a Hybrid...

***EDIT*** Just noticed this is like 3 months old.
