So I noticed my car has been pulling to the right a lot after my new wheels and tires were put on. Does anybody else have this problem? Do I need an alignment?

 

it is wirth to make sure everything is good but if u plan on lowering it then it is even better to wait after you lower it but better soon than never. to save tire life.

 

Yeah, well, sorry. This is imho, a design flaw with the LS 460. There is no camber adjustment. Parts would need to replaced to fix ths issue (around $800.00). Only certain tires will work with the LS 460. Other will cause the car to drift right.
Switch tires to Bridgestonestone Turanza with Serenity or Michelin MXM4 and the car will drive straight.
I have Continental DWS tires and they drift. I'm going to just live with it till I need new tires.
Re-aligning the car will not help.

I have DWS tires and no drifting noticed..I think its a car to car to car issue. On the Acura forums this was an issue too..no rhyme or reason.

Alignment to make sure you max out brand new tire life certainly will not hurt

 

It's Defiantely a flaw with the car and it's tire pull. Finding a good set of tires will fix the problem. I had my car aligned when this first started happening and it did not fix the problem. Ended up swapping tires and problem is solved.

 

I would get allignment.

 

are you guys reading the op post correctly ( new wheels)???? i am assuming after market, get an alignment to see if everything is within spec...

 

I usually get an alignment after every set of new tires.

 

+ 1 on both of these. However like Lextrician posted earlier if you plan on lowering it SOON then wait but if not go get the wheel allignment.

 

Please know all alignment shop are not the same: Some simply employ techs who are trained to do little more than follow some printed manual's specs. And these same unskilled techs do not understand the "mechanics" involved in the alignment process.

Since you already are experiencing a problem, and tires are so derned expensive these days, you might try and find one of the "high end" alignment shops. You can many times find these by asking a Ferrari and/or Lamborghini dealer (in your city) and ask them who THEY use. Many times, especially in cases like yours, spending another $ 25 OR $40 with a specialty alignment shop can help take care of all kinds of ills. Ask Uncle Jitty (cjitty) about the shop I put him onto here in Atlanta, and how this worked out for him.

Good Luck whatever direction you take ... but I would encourage you to get this alignment NOW. BEFORE you do any unnecessary negative wear on your new tires.

I also have DWS and have no issues ,although i am lowered on factory air and Data Systems.
