Question Childproof Rear Door Locks?!?!?

When I bought this '07 2 weeks ago, one rear door has the "childproof" rear door lock activated- the other door is NOT activated. No biggie, right?

WRONG! I can *NOT* get the childproof lock to release. The manual simply says that the switch can be up or down- operative or inoperative.

But I can *NOT* for the life of me get the switch to move in order to deactivate the childproof lock on the one door. Is it broken? Should it just slide? Am I missing something? Is there another step I'm missing???

ARGH! I really don't want to spend the rest of the life of this car having to let my rear passenger out by walking around the car!!

Thanks in advance for any wisdo,

Steve

It doesn't take the slightest of force to move up or down. So yeah something is wrong with it.

The solution? idk but you may want to take to the dealership.

OK... that's what I suspected. I'll ask next time I'm at the dealership!

Thanks,

Steve
