Need help with my rims

I have a 2008 ls460 n i recently bought 22" rims for it im overseas with my car so i bought the rims in da states. Now im having trouble installing the rims cuz there saying i need spacers sports suspension and a body work done so it wont hit and rub on the fender. Anyway you can help me? Is this true or is there a way around it?
