Default Hid bulbs

Not sure if this is in the thread but I did a search and nothing came up. To all guys and girls if any on the CL, if you did change your hid's what color as well as what brand did you all go with. Reason asking, I went the cheap route and bought some so called replacements on ebay but instead of them being d4s they were the universal ones that are slotted for d4s d4c and long story short they did not work they came on then turned off. After examination if you compared the bulbs you can see they are not the same slighlty different from stock. So what bulbs are you all using besides stock..

I thought I saw HID kits/bulbs on there too. If not, sorry. I went to the lighting forum and a lot of folks were talking about xenondepot.com.

thanks I got it figured out, a lot of sellers sell the universal d4c bulbs that are universal for d4c and d4s which apparently is not friendly with bulb socket so it must be a true d4's style and not the universal ones, this can depend brand from brand but I noticed that the prong was shorter as well as the the little notch was deeper preventing good contact. Just something to remember. get oems 4300 or 6000k or true d4s and not the universal ones (d4c)

yeah after doing my research I noticed that the fake d4's bulb will not work properly in the lexus or toyotas when I say fake I mean the universal ones that are d4c, take a look at the question and answer part in the listing, and it is saying basically what i am saying. Thanks bro.

Our D4S 5000k HID bulbs are great if you do not want to lose too much light output. Keep in mind that 6000k D4S bulbs are rated at roughly 20% less light output than a 4300k D4S bulb. Our 5000k bulbs will have a crisper output than your stock 4300k bulbs. Take a look at this D4S 5000k HID bulb review.

If interested, make sure to use coupon code "CLGB08" upon checkout to save $20/bulb.
