Default FYI... Recent Wholesale Auction Prices

I'm thinking about purchasing a LS460 under 50K miles so getting acclimated with the prices. This may help others in my shoes. It's the recent wholesale prices even though my plans are to purchase from a private owner with perfect service records and no stories on his LS460.

It's sorted by price descending with filters so you can narrow down on the mileage range.

Hope it helps!

Cheers,
James

Yes indeed sir. Only a baseline as you pointed out since the overall condition, service history, lingering maintenance concerns, etc. are extremely crucial when buying a used LS.

We aren't after all dealing with $2000 Ford's.

And of course I live by the motto if it's too good to be true...

Cheers,
James

if these prices are wholesale auction prices then there does not seem to be much of a mark-up to me? I figured at least 5-9k mark-up. According these numbers I got my car 08 460L loaded except executive pckge for 2k more than wholesale....and it is a CPO???
Doesn't make sense, dealers can stay in business like this.

Glad it's helpful. Just a quick word of caution. Please take these prices with a grain of salt. They portray very bare bones details of the Lexus e.g. year, mileage, price, color. It's lacking vital information such as options, condition report, etc.

But yes as a mere baseline it's handy to gauge the current market.

Cheers,
James

There isn't much of a markup on used cars. My service advisor and a salesman at the dealer I go to are good friends of mine and tell me how much they have in the used cars. The CPO's usually get new tires, brakes, dent repair and some other maintenance items plus they have to pay Lexus $1k to certify them for the warranty. When I was looking to get an 08, their sticker was usually about $3k higher than what they had in them.

this list actually makes me feel pretty good. i just bought mine in january CPO, 2008 LS460L with 47k miles and paid $42k, they had just dropped the price from $52k the week before...way too much, but i thought 42 seemed fair. they wouldnt go any lower and claimed they were losing money (yeah right), but hey, maybe they were

Default Pricing

Thanks, I just today looked at one of the cars on the list, color and mileage same. I rushed over to look at this 2010 low mileage car they were asking $61,950 for. Drove great, interior perfect, exterior Swirl marks, scratches, small hail dents. To bad, I'll pass on this one.

Private party will not sell less then or close to wholesale .... plus now in IL you have to pay taxes on what the car is worth regardless of bill of sale

I can look up prices for wholesale if needed

Thanks, Luxotic - what would you find wholesale to be on a clean grade 2010 460L (8000 miles) with options like ML, luxury pkg (semi-aniline leather and power side sunshades), and 19" 5-spoke whls, please?

The car does not have other options such as any rear seat upgrades or APCS.
