Wouldn't you like to believe that a Lexus dealer would maintain certain standards and give the customer the option of whether synthetic or regular oil was being used. Then they would actually perform the service in accordance with the customer's wishes. Sadly, with many dealers, it is all about money and the customer's best interests are a distant second.

At the Lexus dealer I go to, they use Mobil 1 OW20. At the Toyota dealer, I have them use Toyota full synthetic made by Mobil 0W20. You can't trust any dealer, you have to ask what they're using...
