Default Intro and need help starting my search..

Greetings! I currently drive a 94 supra, no plans on giving it up but I love the new LS and joined to learn why its better than the 7, A8, or S class. I'm from Toronto, Ohio and currently live in Trinidad...where an LS430 can sell for about 150k USD!!! Luckily i'll be able to grab one from the states..if I can't fall out of love with it! The only car I can see that competes with it as far as prestige and value is the Maserati Quattroporte

here's a little of what brought me here (not mine but got me interested in the LS)

and some shots of my supra

2) Options that are a "must have?"

The Pre-Collison System in my opinion. That should be no problem to find in southern climates.

I agree, pre-collision with adaptive cruise control is great. Of course, luxury package plus Mark Levinson sound. Cold weather package.

The 2011 has the brake override system for safety but other than that, the 2010 is essentially the same.

I got Alabaster leather with mine, custom ordered, and it's absolutely gorgeous.

Because:

1) It's built like a tank

2) It doesn't break

3) Controls are intuitive and easy to use

4) Japanese electrics and electronics are years ahead of everyone else's

5) Everything works, always.

Here's an idea of what an alabaster interior looks like. Please keep in mind that the greenish tint of the windshield affects the shading. Note the color of the seatbelt and the alcantara on the B-pilar.

I took this on an overcast day. The color of the seat looks different in sunshine. Basically, it's a very light neutral color. It's like the parchment but without the yellowish tint.

My photo, above, doesn't do justice to the way Alabaster looks. Here's a photo from the Lexus site:

The color looks different depending on lighting conditions.

"Note the color of the seatbelt and the alcantara on the B-pilar." that's some excellent attention to detail. Not just textured plastics! Thanks for the pics don't think i've seen the seats like that before. beautiful.

something like this obron?

That's a good picture, vancouverl. It's really hard to get a good picture of the interior. I wish I could describe the color of the dark top parts. Sort of a warmish charcoal. The luxury carpeted floor mats that came with my car is the same color.

I have to say I love the matte wood, especially on the steering wheel. It has a lower coefficient of friction so it slides on the hands more easily when steering. It has a silky feel.
