Thanks to jlawr and others for the good feedback and write ups. I ended up at $217.00 each, here in So Cal, for the 235/50R-18s
That's what I have on my car right now, just did rotation last week.

cmasten,

Does the car ride straight with the Serenity Tires or does it drift to the right?

I tried it on several freeways and various surface streets, it tracks perfectly straight.

Great to hear, thanx.
I guess I know what my next set of tires will be.

Just another data point on the Continental DWS... Recently installed a set on my 2008 LS460. Meticulous alignment and balancing was done on Hunter equipment. The car then showed a very slight drift to the right. Swapped the two front tires. Drift is gone, car tracks straight. 1200 miles on the tires, and I'm a happy camper!

my Acura TL also slightly pulls to the right regardless of tires or alignments. I asked one of the techs and some other car techs I know and they told me that cars are designed to slightly pull to the right for safety reasons (folks nodding off or medical issue) so the car drifts to right vs the left into oncoming traffic if driver is not alert. Maybe somebody with a right hand drive car can confirm if their car pulls slightly to the left in those countries, then maybe this is true...I don't know..but in theory that makes sense...I guess

yep that's what they told me too... i guess it's so that if you drift off you don't go into oncoming traffic which is a smart idea if you ask me. I guess someone could do a custom alignment to make it completely straight.

I must admit -- it seems like the tires.
JM Lexus - The Sweethearts they are - put on a brand new set of Michelin MXM4's for our new Baby. Straight as an arrow, there is no drift, and very low road noise. This is the first tire that actually seemed to began to satisfy me ! We are very pleased with the Michelins.

Hoping this helps someone else.

No problem Mikey!

Now that I have the same time in 22 inch, I can't believe how solid, smooth and quiet these tires are..the price point is very reasonable and with a 540 treadwear rating and estimated 50K mile warranty, these are the perfect choice for me!

Default DSW Tires

I bought new 18" rims and put the DSW's on my 2001 gs300. That way I could put studless tires on my stock rims for the winter months. I look forward to winter coming because the DSW's wander so bad on the freeway, it makes me look like I've been drinking. It's bad. The mileage was o.k. I got 40k before belts started showing. I had ball joints replaced, tie rod ends, alignment, no help. The older the tire gets, the worse the wandering. I tried different tire pressures, 32, 34, 36, 38. The centers wore out bad. When I recently put my stock rims and winter tires back on, it drives straight as an arrow at 90 mph. Not sure if it's the width of the tires or the tires themselves. I keep reading reviews and hopefully there are better tires I can try.

Default Drift due to tires

Ref; Jlawr. I have the Michelin Pilot HX MXM 4 in a Z profile that I asked the dealership to swap out from the Michelin Touring Tires that came with the car. Mine is a 2012 AWD and the car tracks true, has a comfortable ride and they are quiet. So far they seem to perform really well.

Default Drift to right

I think that is a crock about supposing to drift to the right because of accident avoidance. What happens if you mount tires with the tires flipped around what happens then. I have owned many many vehicles and they all tracked straight, except for when I once had a tire where the belt had slipped and that was immediately replaced by the manufacturer. If your car does not track straight on a major highway, it is either something wrong with the tire or the design of the car or being knocked out of alignment l by a curb or pothole. If you drive on some local county roads this may happen as they tend to be mounded in the center so water drains off of the roadway. But the interstates and toll roads are not mounded like the county two lane roads.

Default Continental DWS tires

I have had a set of 235/50 X 18 Continental DWS on my 07 LS now for a few thousand miles and not noticed any drift. But then I have never had a problem with drift.
Hoping for much better life than the two sets of factory Bridgestones I went through in 25K miles each. Quiet and good ride and handling. I suspect a much better value and life.
