You have to remove the front bumper cover to acccess it, then it is cake after that.

that's the way to go. there are bolts and clips under the headlights and without taking off the bumper you can't access them

Remember, HID bulbs should always be replaced in pairs. They age at different rates, thus have different color variations. Replace both low beam bulbs at the same time.

are we talking headlight or "highlight" which I am taking to mean the side markers? if its headlight the directions are below.

you take out the Fender Liners.. not the bumpers... its really simple to take the wheel off on each side and pop the fender liner out. This is how the service manual shows replacing the bulbs and I just did mine.. about 20 min a side.

Yes, I remember reading this in the Owner's Manual. It looked quite simple when I removed the wheels at rotation time. I couldn't quite figure out why all this bumper cover removal when I first read the above...

Good reference cmasten - how much did your shop manuals set you back?

wait, i am confused. do you mean to just change the bulb, or the headlight housing? if it's the bulb, then yeah, fender lining. i was always under the impression you want to change the whole headlight housing @_@

I bought a set for my SC430 (3 vol) $150.00 and a set for my LS460 (6 vol) for $250.00 both off of Craigs List here in Los Angeles. They are easy to find new for about the same or less on either CL or EBay. I like to do most of this stuff myself if I can as the dealer is just so over priced.. pays for itself in just one use!
