EI!!! Come on, LEXUS! why the hell did u install headlamp washers back in bumper when they where nicely instaled in HEADLAMP??? It is definetaly step back, not forward IMO...

I believe it is cheaper this way, but, it is not WV lupo or something...

though NIGHT VISION and LEATHER type steering wheel center is definetely improvement

Interesting, so the LS hybrid gets a rear diffuser. The way the exhaust tips are integrated with the diffuser is very nice.

The front end looks better in these Frankfurt pics personally.

The grille looks fine to me, and the new bumper gives the car a bit more style and aggression. The new front bumper also seems to flow better with the rest of the car.

Interior seems to have extra leather on the steering wheel, and extra bits of chrome on and around the center console.

What they did with the LS is similar to the ES facelift, they gave both cars slightly more style and aggression while also making them look more luxurious, particularly in the interior.

Curious to know the spec changes on the car.

Interesting changes...we have all talked about the grille and that's the most controversial aspect (...I will have to see in person, but so far I'm not feeling it). It was also strange that the elegantly-integrated headlamp washers are now back out on the bumper like the S-Class (do they work better? Otherwise aesthetically, more refined in keeping them integrated). The back new wavy lights do look interesting, but lose a bit of the solidity of the old. Perhaps a quarter angle view will show the full effect.

Inside, not a whole lot of change, but nice subtle updates, that add a greater sense of richness. That being said, I think the original LS 460 interior is quite wonderful, this one is slightly different, will be interesting to compare.

I really like the speedo, Is the leather dash going to be available on the 460? I always like little touches like that.

Well the list includes 8 daytime LEDs fitted to the headlamps. If i were to guess, based on the headlamp picture above, the LEDs are going to be in the shape of an L and backwards L which is just where the old headlamp washers were

Upon closer inspection, I have noticed details on the LS refresh that I did not see before. Like with all Lexus designs, it's all in the details and subtleties. The rear end has grown on me especially the revised tails.

The grille has also grown on me to the point where it actually looks decent I think. I fail to see the Avalon or Toyota resemblence. The press release mentions the new bumper has improved air intake performance, so this may have partly been a "function over form" change.

Also if you look closely you can see why the headlamp washers had to be separated from the headlight units themselves. The revised headlights are even more intricate than before, and the revised light strip at the bottom of the headlights necessitated moving the washers.

Overall a pretty major upgrade. I love how comprehensive the Sports model upgrades are, as well as the LS upgrades in general. A lot of surprising things like the LS hybrid now gets 6-piston front calipers standard. Interior dash and cluster are redesigned, both front and rear seats are redesigned, new two-tone interior color combinations, as well as new exterior colors. Improved suspension, redesigned batteries on the LS hybrid resulting in increased luggage space; the list of improvements is huge really.

Overall IMHO this mid-cycle facelift for the LS is much bigger and comprehensive than I was expecting .

I think the best looking LS refresh so far. The head lights look really smart and the centre console looks much cleaner.
