Independant dealer would not take a deposit without bank pre-approval Saturday. Would not finance in house.
Car sold this AM while I was arranging financing with my bank.

Sus - Yep or possibly a bit better now that we are 45 days until its officially a year old car and that much closer to 09's. It will always depend on the dealer but since they have the 4K cash-back to play with the time is Ripe. You have lots of options in SD - so if one dealer won't do the deal just walk to the next.

Lightguy - too bad on the Miss - but I'm sure you will find another Used' - seems to be lots of used LS's in this economy

64 OTD for 78k car, that's insane. that means the selling price of the car is only around 58k. amazing!!!!!!!!!

Was this a zero mile 08 or a demo? If zero mile 08 you by far have the best deal I have ever seen --WOW. What was your negotiation strategy?

Tnet Nice,

That's just about what I was expecting (14k off MSRP) based on info gathered.

Was your MSRP 74 flat or was it the 74800?

Most models in my area are 74800 - that gives you nav/ml/ComfortPlus.

I'm entering the Dark Abyss... leaning towards a loaded L ... msrp's in the high 80's to one in the 90's with exec pkg.

My deal was actually invoice minus 4k .... Just checked the sticker - $73,395
If I was doing it again I would also ask for some free service and oil changes... I was just not in the mood to keep negotiating..

My business partner has an S550 and we commute daily... I think the LS is better all around... The dash on the S is fugly...

Just ordered tanabe lowering springs and 360 forged 22's... Will order the Wald package next

BTW - Lurking around here for a while - great forum

Interesting comments on the S550 -- The model I drove had the seats that adjusted when you turned corners etc... I really liked the car but could not justify 6 figures. The S550 felt much more connected with the road and a lot more like my BMW than I remembered the old S500's feeling. All in all I thought the S550 was Super but not Super enough to pay 100K for it. From my limited test drives of the LS it appears to be a pretty good luxury car for the price.

Question Looking for 3 new '08 LS

Have a quote from a local dealer for $61k on loaded LS with 50k maintenance thrown in. My business partners think we can do better. Original MSRP is $73.4k on the cars. We are not in a hurry. Are we being greety or is there something better out there? Thanks

61K on a 73.4 is not bad - ask them to throw in a couple 1K Lexus coupons and you will have a deal if not the best deal so far on a SWB.
