The $4000 rebate expired at the end of September. Not sure what it will be for October. Edmunds does not show anything for any Lexus yet. You would think Lexus would raise the rebate in October to clear out the 08's if the 09's have hit the dealers.

ah, I just read up on this thread and can't believe I missed the $4k rebate.
I will just have to check with the dealer to see if it's still avaliable.
we are planning to purchase (LS460 SWB) in Dec but wouldn't mind now with the additional $4k.

anyone got experience on the Dec/Winter event? is it as attractive as the Sept one?
i know most of the 08 will probably be gone by then.
will it be difficult to work out a simliar deal then?

Thanks in advance for your reply

Toyota just came out with 0% financing for 11-models along with additional cash rebates of thousands.

How about Lexus?

Lexus, $4k discount from invoice for September sales, how about October sales now?

I would think promotions for October to unload 2008 inventory would be off the charts, anyone hear anything yet?

dealer went from like 8 LS460L to 2 within 14 days selling at or above invoice, don't you think that's enough discount to unload? there should be no sales in october, that's when all the 09 are rolling out. I personally think asking 5k off invoice is just pushing it.

next event should be December to remember event.

I'd like the Dec event to have good finance deals for folks with Tier 3 credit -- but who knows.

it's all about region. some regions they have more supply than demand, so maybe 4k under invoice is doable. some areas like cali, you can get "good" deals, but i have still to see someone here getting the car for 4k under invoice?

In Florida, it was on available for $4k less than invoice:
MSRP $68,305.00
Buy for $55,976.00

Are you sure they called it a "rebate"? I just bought mine a couple of days ago and there was no mention of a rebate. AFAIK, the $4k rebate was only available in Florida and there were factory to dealer incentives going on to sell the LS in CA. I ended up getting $12k off on mine as well as $1k more for my trade vs other dealerships but I had to turn the screws pretty hard to get that. They just announced special LS leases good through Oct 31 so they may have reduced the factory to dealer money. Regardless... this is a great time to buy an LS.

I heard it was a dealer incentive, not a rebate.
