Default good deal on 2009 ls460

I am looking for 2009 LS by the end of this month in SO Cal.
Any idea what is the best deal on a 68K sticker price?

Sam - try for 10K off MSRP - Folks have posted completed deals for 7K off 09's so see what you can do at 10K. Not sure you can get 10K today but if you can wait a few months to let the supply chain fill up a bit and then ATTACK!

68K - SWB, no ML?

Grab a lease calc online for the #'s - 68K sounds good - when I was looking SWB's w/out ML always seemed to be 69.8. Hopefully you can find your perfect 08 SWB.

Also, if the $6k is still good, do you think an 460 can be had for $16k off MSRP?
How about the 460L since it commands a lot higher MSRP? Would the discount be higher?

Now, the rebate is up at $7K for the 08's. They're still a lot of 08's remaining in Nor Cal.

So true! The Lexus dealers in Ga. would kiss your feet if you offered invoice, and a minimum of $10K to $15K off invoice just to move some metal. They are hurting! The only thing getting full boat is the new LX SUV, They have a 6 mo. waiting list!! I was shocked! It gets 13 mpg! No idea.

Why not buy in another state where the deals are better, and make it a vacation?? Road trip in a new LS !

I saw that too that they raised the rebate. The issue was that in Southern California, there was zero swb cars left and a very few LWB. So if you can find the color/int you want, I am sure you can get a great deal.
For some reason, there is more stock in N Cali and out of state. But in S. Cali very few....

Good to hear there is still stock in NCAL - stock of L's was getting pretty think a 6+ weeks ago.

Drove the LX - looked at the sticker and was not impressed. The engine is AMAZING - but can be had in a much less expensive Sequoia. I would be the 6 month wait on the LX is due more to production than Demand - IE - they produced 2 and have 3 buyers :-)

Copied from the edmunds forums:

January's lease rates on the 2009 LS460 (Base).

36 Months - 12,000 Miles per Year - 44% Residual - 0.00285 Money Factor
39 Months - 12,000 Miles per Year - 41% Residual - 0.00285 Money Factor
42 Months - 12,000 Miles per Year - 39% Residual - 0.00285 Money Factor
48 Months - 12,000 Miles per Year - 35% Residual - 0.00285 Money Factor
* Subtract 2% from Residual for 15,000 Miles per Year. Add 1% to Residual for 10,000 Miles per Year.

These are the numbers you need for the lease calculator

Sam, that seems high. You should be able to get a better deal than that.

I highly recommend you get one of the Consumer Reports car issues. They have articles about how to price and negotiate for a car. Also for about $15 you can order one of their pricing reports on the car. Its basically the same info you can get for free from Edmunds et al, but there is more info in their report. I got it when I bought my car. I figure if you're spending that kind of money for a car, its $15 well spent.

Sam - 7K is pretty can be considered standard "OFF" on an 09 - Several folks here have been offered 7K. Good idea to wait - perhaps even until March time frame and Aim for the 10's!!
