So I got my 2nd choice...Black Sapphire Pearl/Alabaster...couldn't get the same deal if they had to special order the car. Every time I see the Nobel Spinel, I just can't stop staring at it. There are quite a few running around town here. Haven't seen many of the Black Sapphires though.

Best of luck and enjoy!

Thanks
Where I am, Noble Spinel Mica is rare, I've only seen a few others LS's with this paint so far, & they are all SWB except for the one 600hL that I saw at a dealer.
Yes, except for the 600hL ^^ which has a black interior, all the other Noble Spinel cars I saw come with cashmere interior. Mine is the only one I am aware of anywhere with the Noble Spinel/Alabaster combination.

I had been debating between the Alabaster & the Cashmere interior for a while. The Cashmere gives a "warmer" feel inside because of the yellowish tan leather, plus some think the reddish brown wood trim inside seem a closer match to the Noble Spinel paint. I kinda like the cashmere interior too, but I don't think the gray upper dash & upper part of the doors match too well with the tan leather.
I think the Alabaster interior is the most classy & elegant, & I just love the ambience when I sit inside, so that's what I ended up ordering

BTW, I like the Black Sapphire paint on your LS460 too, it's one of my top 3 choices for the LS460L.

My car was trucked in from Kansas, where they order them all with the all-weather mats, and there are brown mats underneath them. But I've heard some Alabaster owners say they have carpet mats the same color as the carpet in the car.

Just curious.

Mine actually comes with the dark gray carpet mats, the one shown in front of the executive seat in the pic on page one. Of course they include the black all weather mats as well, that's the set I would be using 90%+ of the time anyway, if not all the time, given the usually rainy weather here(except summer).

I just realized this ruby-red jemstone is referred to both as "noble spinel" and "nobel spinel'.

Since Lexus spells it "noble", I'll defer to their version.

Oh, and thanks, Gojirra - I think our floor mats are the same color. I'd call it a greyish brown, but that's splitting hairs.

Yes! As I said, mine are the dark ones, and someone had said in another thread that there are light ones that go with the Alabaster interior. Those must be the ones! Oh, well, my dark ones are okay.

Andrew,

Big congrats on finally getting your new LS460L.. I was guessing the Black Sapphire but I am glad you went with the Nobel Spinel.. Everytime I see pictures of BC I miss it so much.. Lived in Kitimat / Terrace BC for a year and the area will always have a special place in my heart..

So what's the first MOD on this new whip?? (Please say TINT)

Ken

Here's the special all weather mat I now got for the Executive seat. The left portion is thinner allowing the seat to slide forward ...

Thank you Ken Yes BC is a nice place to live in many ways

As for the first mod, I may not need tint with the sunshades
I am now thinking maybe the datasystem controller. I will look into it after I come back from vacation in May. Still undecided on aftermarket wheels, what size & brand etc. . . . . .
