I am only disappointed about the wind/road noise, it has been many months and Lexus still has not resolved it but maybe its just me as I expect a lot from a Lexus LS as it should be one of the quietest cars and I will complain about a little noise. rominl said that my noise was coming from another area so its most likely my bad judgement. I thought about it and felt that my car's audio system was actually better than the one in the BMW 730Li (8 Speakers, 240 Watts) and Mercedes S300L (? speakers, ? watts). Buying a car in Singapore is very different from buying a car in the USA, all the cars in the dealership are those in standard trim if I wanted any options, I would have to wait for at least 3 months so all 7-Series and S-Class look dull and have bad equipment (the LS is an exception as it comes with most of the options available in the US except air suspension, moon roof and Mark Levinson audio ), so when comparing with all those ultra-luxury cars , the Lexus LS should still have the best standard audio system.

Congrats on the new LS460 2008.

Is the wind noise problem affecting all LS 460 2008 models or are there customers that don't have this problem in their LS460 SWB or LWB.

Any input would help. I read the thread on this issue but there wasn’t much emphasis on the 2008 models.

Regards.

Hard to say, there are even 2007 owners who do not have wind noise problems. My take on it from reading the posts & having driven the LS460L several times, is that the wind noise "problem" can be pretty subjective due to individual expectations & tolerances, etc., plus you tend to scrutinize more on wind noise after you've read about it repeatedly as some had mentioned before.
I have no doubt there are some cars that have more pronounced wind noise than others, not every car will be exactly the same, so they need the TSIB's to reduce them. But the car is still very quiet overall by my judgement, & of course, ANY car will have some wind noise when you go over 70-80mph+, but as with everything, there will always be room for further improvement.

The car's wind noise is not so bad. Its quieter than my previous Mercedes E-Class but noisier than a S-Class
