Default So, what does the LS460 owner do for a living?

Just wondering. I want one bad, but for $80k, I'd be digging a deep whole and the way the market's(mortgage business) going now, I can't forsee myself owning one anytime soon Rates are down to 5.3 fixed for 30 years, but the lenders are being so incredibly strict about everything now. You have to have perfect credit history to qualify and I might have to start looking for a new career Hell, I had to get rid of my LS430. I don't know how people are making it now-a-days in this business. The government is even trying to take away YSP from brokers. I feel like screaming >

I assume you are a mortgage broker Meth. In my opinion things are going to get worse, much worse, before they get better. Its just a guess on my part, but you may be stretching to buy an LS at this point in your life. If that's the case, don't do it. Except for a few collectibles, cars are a depreciating asset. When times aren't good for you, depreciating assets are not what you need.

I'm guessing, but you are probably young (young to me is anyone under 50, LOL). You have plenty of time to own one of these. My advice would be to concentrate on finding other job opportunites during this market downturn, and look to buy assets that will appreciate in future years rather than an LS which will only depreciate.

DO NOT "be digging a deep hole"!

Just my opinion. Good luck!

I'm 35, so I guess I'm still somewhat young. I'm just wondering what the
LS460 owner does for a living as it might be a field to explore. I was making great money for the past few years, but with all of the sub-prime lenders closing their doors, it's becoming pretty hard in this market. The thing that stinks is that this is all I know how to do. Well, selling cars too, but I do not want to re-visit that avenue. I'm good at sales, but with no type of college education, the majority of companies out there will frown upon an individual with no formal education It really stinks because I know that I have more field experience than most of the grads out there. What ever happened to "hands-on" experience?

Maybe selling cars would not be to bad of an idea, You would probably have enough time to do some mortgages on the side with your downtime. The good thing with Sales experience is once you know how to sell it doesnt matter what your selling.

I would consider myself to be pretty lucky. Moved to Charlotte, NC a few years ago and started studying the internet and how the Search Engines work. I make money by generating traffic for my clients. It's called SEO and SEM. I work a few hours a day and I make more revenue each month. The internet is a wonderful toy.

I also just got my real estate license and hope to triple my revenue in 3 years time.

I also don't own a Lexus, I own a benz =[ Working on it though!

I'm retired government but most likely never getting married has helped put my string of Lexus and Corvette toys in the box.

I shut it down in '03, just as the Internet was getting going in this area.

And yes, I shop the Internet exclusively for my travel needs. The problem was not the Internet, but the suppliers that turned their backs on travel agents...
