Interesting - that's where I got my IS350 last year. Jimmy Jones was my salesguy, and I finally finagled a minor price break out of him.

Who do you deal with there?

(Oh, and is this good on 2008's or just '07's?)

that should be doable....check out edmunds.com forum on the LS460 to see what others have paid.....socal should be an easy market as there is so much competition out there (i used to live in OC)...

Cool I thought it was a good deal

I just traded my 2005 LS 430 with 43k miles for a 2008 LS 460 SWB. MSRP was $72,200 with options. I drove off the lot at Sewell, Dallas for $34,000 including TT&L; Park Place in Plano wouldn't match the deal. I was happy with the deal.

I got $33k for my 2005 LS 430 trade and 10.3% off MSRP
You should be able to get $35-37k for your GX depending on options and condition. Call "Dawn Betrus" (she is wonderful to work with!) at Sewell Lexus in Dallas at: 214-352-8100. Tell her I referred you. My name is JOEL and I just picked up my Black on Black 2008 LS 460 car on Nov. 23rd. She'll know me.

Good Luck.

i would try 2k and go from there. swb is quite common at any dealerships now, it's not on shortage. lwb is what people need to "fight" for. and even for lwb i got good discount

Mine is an '08

If you're in the North Dallas, there's a meet tomorrow. See this link: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=320911

I'll be there around 11:30am

have been following the forum for several months, but this is first post..i am now in a position to buy 2008 swb,but i have not seen(i could have missed it) any references to purchasing in florida.
if anyone has experience purchasing there,i would really appreciate the details as to the expected premium over invoice that i will have to pay.

Sewell Lexus of Dallas is a good place to shop. Good dealership and great service. I would advise anyone to stay away from Sewell Lexus of Ft. Worth...not such a great dealership and not such great service. Park Place Lexus in Grapevine has great service too. I have dealt with all 3 mentioned and just speak from my own experience.

what dealer did you buy from?

I have been qouted thru the internet on a $71,000, vehcile, just over $64,000. They did not have in stock what I wanted and did not want to do a DX, so will wait until exactly what I want comes in...will now cost me 1% more on the sales tax... but I honestly believe, the big buying spurt is over and should see even better deals mid January or so... but what do I know.

For starters, that's the wrong way to go about it. Never negotiate down from MSRP. Rather negotiate up from dealer cost.
I don’t agree. For one, it’s almost impossible to know the dealer’s real cost. My method: decide on a model and exact configuration, and then do a reverse auction with every dealer in your area. The dealer with the best price get’s the deal. I did a deal on a new 1996 ls400 for 3500 BELOW invoice using this method. If I had started with invoice and negotiated up, money would have been left on the table for sure.
