No problem Burnaby. I hope they upgrade you for free as well. I would think if you would ask your dealer they might get it done for free. If not, I would call Lexus as ask for a goodwill upgrade... That stupid I agree should't be on there in the first place.

i forgot to mention that the new 7.1 map update still doesn't have my address (house is 3 yrs. old), that's why i don't need the new maps....but i'd definitely want the 'i agree' button removed as well as the grace notes updated....i think that should be complimentary as part of the warranty or an act of goodwill from Lexus.....anybody notice improvements in the maps around their parts of the country (USA/CANADA)??

Oh man, you're never going to get home!

i get lost every time i try to go home.....imagine how frustrating that must be to drive around aimlessly in a brand new LS460....

I have heard rumors of several owners being able to get home despite the Nav system trying to make them believe that they are homeless.
The percentage of those owning a Lexus LS460 and being homeless is actually rather low.

I was at Longo Lexus yesterday helping a friend buy a new RX350. I figured I'd drop my LS600hL off at service while we were going through the new car buying process and have them upgrade the Nav to 7.1 and update the Grace Notes Database.
After having the car for over four hours, they couldn't figure out how to use the laptop with the USB adapter to update the Nav system. They admitted that I was a guinea pig as they have never done it before. They tried calling Lexus tech support but they were closed for the Thanksgiving weekend. Oh well... guess I will take it to Keyes Lexus where I normally get service and see if they can figure it out. No 7.1 on my LS600hl yet :-(

experienced the same @ McGrath Lexus in Westmont, I spent over 3 hour there and they could not figure it out. I called several other dealers in the area and most of the service advisors did not even know 7.1 was out. Ended up getting it done @ McGrath in Chicago, The tech had to call Denso to figure out how to install it. It is pretty embarassing/frustrating that these service advisors seem to have very little clue about their own flagship.
