owners usually know more about there cars. its about experience. they spend like a day in a workshop learning from the manual, but it doesnt help. its about owning the car, and learning its faults and strengths. dealers dont know anything

There's some truth to that. Every time I ask my dealer a question about a feature in the LS, I get blank stares, and the "I didn't know it did that" reply. I can't help but think that the only time Service learns something new about the car, is when they have to repair it. That may be a tad unfair as the car is still new, and there's only so much they can know about it. But there's no excuse not knowing about the basic stuff, especially in the front of the store.
