Which Tire Goes to Each on Tire Pressure Monitor?
Which of the 5 tires goes with each reading on the display of the tire pressure monitor?
Thanks

There is no fixed order displayed on the screen. Each tire has its own unique transmitter or frequency, so if you change the location of any tire, its position on the screen will change accordingly. If you leave a tire at home, the screen will display a continuous warning icon, and you will no longer see the other four. However, you'll still be able to cycle through the other data.

Ok..I appreciate that. I am keeping about 35 PSI cold air pressure in each tire. What are some of you keeping in your tires? Mine seems to get a little bit better gas mileage with 35 PSI instead of the recommended 33 PSI. Maybe my imagination.

There is a marginal increase in fuel economy due to reduced rolling friction but your ride will stiffen up, the more air you put in. The pressure displayed may not reflect the actual pressure in the tire. Use a tire gauge for accuracy.

Not on my car. Have you tried moving a tire from one location to another? The transmitter is in the tire itself. How can the computer know that transmitter "E" has been moved from the spare position to say the right rear wheel position? I thought like you originally until one of my tires suffered a chronic leaking corner puncture, thus triggering a Lexus warranty replacement. I could see the pressure dropping from position D on the screen eventually triggering a warning. When I swapped it with my spare, its position remained the same on the display. If your tires are still new and haven't been rotated, I can see where the sequence you posted is as shown, as mine was.

I guess then it's a specific order when delivered new, afterwards depends on your tire rotation etc. I personally would like it if the order was pretty clear. And the spare psi was the last number.

In my case, a flat tire piqued my interest, and the resultant trips to check the tire pressure for every tire clued me in on the position being related to the rim, not the location. Thinking about it afterwards, I concluded that since every TPMS had a unique signature, and since every transmitter had to have a unique address/frequency to differentiate it from the others, then it stood that if you varied the position of any tire, its position would also change on the screen. Pure rocket science...
In a perfect world, it would be nice to see some semblance of order on the screen, however that would require a fixed receiver mounted on each corner to convert the tire's identity for the display - an exercise in decadent futility and a frivolous expense, if you ask me.

loosing tire pressure
I took delivery of an LS460 in June (May build). When I purchased the car I added chrome wheels, which were installed the day of delivery. The next morning, I checked the tire pressure on all 4, with my tire gauge--all 4 were at 33psi, per mfg specs (18" wheels). Looks like everything is fine, but I do make it a habit to manually check my tires every month (always in the morning, after the car has sat overnight, so as to get a good cold tire pressure). When the car was a month old, I checked and all tires were low. I added air to all 4 and decided they must not have seated the new tires well--or something. But, in the past month, I have checked the tires each Sunday morning--and the cold tire pressure (using the same air gauge)has decreased each week, & in every tire. After the last check, I aired all 4 up again! The loss was 2.5 lbs in 3 tires and 3 lbs in tire four. The spare's pressure has remained constant. I am in Dallas, TX, and it is hot here this time of the year. That being said, usually at the first cold snap each year I would loose tire pressure in my prior Lexus models with the tire monitors--I knew, because of the monitor. Have any of you ever had this happen or do you have an explanation?

From what you describe it sounds like the tires are not seating well on the new wheels. That's apparently why the air pressure is diminishing on those tires yet remains constant on the spare (which presumably is not a new chrome wheel).
Are the new chrome wheels the same dimensions as the stock wheels?

Yes, they are the standard Lexus wheel, which have been sent out to be chromed. This is my sixth Lexus, five have had chrome wheels, from the dealer, with the new vehicle. The tires are Bridgestone Turanza EL42.

Well one possibility is that the wheels weren't properly polished prior to chroming, or the chroming proscess was not done uniformly and the plating is uneven.
