Default 2007 LS460L dash speaker mounting depth?

Does anyone know what the max mounting depth is for the speakers in the dash, and I also needed the maximum depth for the front doors? I have the Mark Levinson system.

Unfortunately, you will probably have to remove the speakers to measure. I don’t think you will find this specification anywhere other than actually measuring. Here is a thread on the dash speakers. Are you asking for the depth because you want larger, deeper aftermarket speakers installed with larger magnets?

I hate to say this but you're going to have a hard time improving on the stock ML system (especially if its a 2007-2012 model). The only real deficiency was the subwoofer on the 2013+ ML systems (which was probably dialed down for fear of "bass-heads" blowing the driver!)

I know the upgrade will be challenging but this isn't my first rodeo trying to upgrade my sound. I already have the wiring schematic of the ML amp, and I don't think it will be that hard to integrate the factory with an Audison bit one.

I finally got around to removing one of the dash speakers, and there is hardly any wiggle room for a larger speaker. I removed the center speaker, and a 5.25 speaker will fit. I know most people on here don't care about upgrading, but I just don't see anything special about the ML system. My sub quit on me, but you'll hear it rattling off and on. I have no desire to replace it. The right front door speaker is working, but it is rattling pretty bad on bass notes.

The depth for the left/right dash speakers is around 2.25" max, but you might have to trim the circular lip with a dremel on the other side of the grill.
Any speakers deeper than that would be pushing it, and you also have to worry about how far the tweeters are protruding if it is a coxial speaker.
