Default Too Small???

I thought folks would be able to get away with 20's on the LS460 but after seeing this pic, they look way too small. I know a lot of you guys don't want to put wheels on your executive car but this is an enthusiasts site so every car is open to modding. I've seen 2 in person with 22's. Looked okay but I thought 20's would work. I think I've changed my mind. What do you guys think?

Don't know why the pics won't show. Maybe iForged website won't allow. Here is the link to the pic.

a) Those are many spoke wheels
b) They are black
c) They have lip
d) It's at an angle

Those are possible reasons why 20's on that LS don't realy fill the car.

I think the black centers make them appear smaller than they really are.
A silver or brushed center usually looks bigger when comparing the same diameter is different finishes. Also, the offsets on that car seem very conservative, contributing to the "small" look.

I agree, I also like 22s on the new LS, but the LS customer is traditionally older and very conservative. Even 20s are considered (by some) "straight baller" on this car. A 21" fitment would be a great compromise.

Derrick @ D2 has done several LS 460s and would be a great guy to speak with about this.

Here are a few shots I've taken recently:

22" TSW

22" Lowenhart (weak rear fitment- staggered)

20x8.5 & 20x10 staggered, brushed finish (note the more aggressive front & rear fitment here)

Even in silver the 20's look too small on the big 460.
It's not horrible looking. The more conservative of us can rest assured it looks okay but it looks like 21 and 22 may be the best for this car.

I think 21's would look PERFECT on the LS.

I thought the the black faced rims from the OP look great and not too small! But then I looked at the other angle, and I don't know if it's some change in suspension or fitment, but this way it doesn't look so hot.

I think the 22s in SoCalSC4's pics look over the top "look at me bling" except maybe the last one.
