Hey guys,

Since many of you are knowledgeable about this car, I though I ask you to help me out before I put a deposit down. I called my own salesperson whom I bought my GS300 AWD from to ask about the LS600h. He mentioned that it will come within 3-4 months but he does not know the allocations yet. My gripe with Lexus is that they dont show you the allocations till about 1-2 months before the car comes to the dealer. Doesn;t the dealer order thier own LS600h and know it or does the factory allocates the cars to whatever dealer? I prefer Mercedes way of showing you what they have coming in like 4-5 monthes in advance. I dont want to put a deposit on something until I know whats coming first. When is the LS600h estimated date and how can I ****** one in 1-2 months? I need one for my uncle whom is with 1 month left on his 2004 Merc. S500.

Estimate time of release is "Summer '07," which may be as late as September.

As for "snatching" one, it's best to put a deposit with a reputable dealer, and tell them what you want. Your dealer should then look for your car in future allocations and grab one as close to your specifications as quickly as possible.

Unfortunately, the LS600hL will be made in very small production numbers (I think I read somewhere that only 1000 will be available in North America. Not the U.S. alone, but all of North America). It's best to attach your deposit to one already.

If not, you can always do a Special Order when the car is released, and get "The Car of your Dreams" by December '07.

car is due hopefully in june. allocations come out about twice per month on average and those cars tyipcally get to the dealer within 2-4 weeks of the allocation. if you must have a 600hl, put a deposit with your dealer and hope that its the first one. we can always tell our district sales reps what we have presold so as to try to match up deposits with available cars in order to deliver the sold units as quickly as possible.

I put a deposit down on the 600 in January of 06 I'm #1 on the list and my dealer still can't tell me anything about the car or when I'll get it. I am trying to be patient but without answers the Benz S63 may have my name on it.

Thanks everyone. I talked to my dealer today and the salesperson said that the car will come around June but still doesn't know the allocation yet. We put the deposit just in case but I think my uncle might be inclined to get the Mercedes S600 instead. His current 2004 Merc S500 was terrible and he has owned a 1989 Lexus LS400, 1998 Lexus LS400, and 2001 Lexus LS430, and I told him that the LS600h is something to drive and get back to Lexus. So we'll see what he does.
