Canucks buying in US
I was just wondering if any Canadians are thinking of buying their LS in the US? Previously color selection and interior choices were greater and price is sustantially less. Apparantly Lexus Canada won't honor US warantee but from my experience with three previous Lexii that is not really a concern.

A salesman just told me the other day that they won't honour warranties/recalls on US bought cars because Lexus Canada won't pay them for their work & it's hard for them to claim money from Lexus USA ?
I have also heard a while ago Toyota & some other manufacturers might have started cracking down on the US dealers with the threat of revoking their franchise if they knowingly sell new cars to Canadian buyers ?
When you drive the car back to Canada, you still have to pay import tax (6 % ? ) unless you have a home/address in the US as well & you don't necessarily have to register the car in Canada. It still cost less with import taxes & other miscellaneous expenses with the exhange rate today, but it may not be worth the hassle for many. . .
Only a very small % of Canadians speak French, especially those who don't know English at all BTW

weird. Last time they would but I guess they're just annoyed that there are too many cases of people buying in the US and importing them to Canada.
The issue is not only cost but options. If I wanted the radar cruise control on the ES, I can't get one cause Canada doesn't offer it as an option but the US does.
