There was a purplish leather for the 01-03 LS430 ?
I think it's probably a CGI . . .

not arguing so dont take it the wrong way looking at the 02 LS brochure at the moment and its definetly not a black, its like a deep purple. Its called
Bordeaux Ultra-Luxury Aniline Leather, and the wood choice is Bordeaux Bird's-Eye Maple

Thanks for the pics , never seen this leather in person or in pics, I bet they're rare too.
Also I noticed that they only have 3 wood trim choices for the LS460/600h in that mini brochure scanned.
For the current LS430, they have 4 wood trim choices, 2 for the less well equipped LS/ sports, & 2 for the luxury UL package. I would like to see more choices maybe ?
Another question is whether there will be a LS460 sport similar to the LS430 sport ?

Thx for the pics AJL0365. I think it's really cool that Lexus started offering more unique color combinations on the LS 430, I think more variety is good. I also like seeing the contrast between interiors--I'm used to the ecru leather LS 430, and have ridden in black charcoal with antique walnut. Very interesting contrast with a lovely, sophisticated interior design that is truly the most advanced LS yet (until the 460).
However it seems saddle and this bordeaux were very rare, so they likely didn't get as much popular response. I believe also that these two colors don't photograph very accurately, as past discussions about this saddle color suggested.
But it's still an interesting variation; I hope to see more choices (plus backlit wood and other unique ambience features) which would be nice!

I like the saddle leather, & it usually doesn't look as orange in person as in most pics.
I don't know about the Bordeaux , since I haven't seen it in person, but it does not look to good in the pics, plus it's matched with the dark red wood trim too, which happens to be one of my least favourite for the LS.

yeah the wood is to called Bordeaux and its the same wood that came with Black Leather in 01-03 model years, so yeah, it does match the wood to much. But i'll still rock it

Pearl/Mica/Metallic ?
Since it's unlikely we'll be able to see the new LS in most of the available colors if we order early, does anyone know what the differences are between pearl, mica and metallic finishes? Based on the color chart in the brochure, for example, heirloom pearl looks an awful lot like mercury metallic. And, mercury metallic doesn't look at all like the mercury metallic of prior Lexus model years. I know it's tough to pick a color based on a small sample in a printed brochure, but at least if I knew the difference between pearl, mica and metallic, I'd have a starting point! Thanks.
