Arrow Heavy steering

Haven changed my steering rack, pinion, and EPS module brand new from Lexus, I did the calibration, yet my 2014 Lexus LS 460 steering is still heavy. What else can I do? Helpful suggestion, please.

You need to be more specific of type of calibration you did.

I have my ASE mechanic do that with his OBD tool. He and Lexus diagnosed the fault as the steering rack and pinion, after which they pointed to the EPS, from which I bought the parts brand new from Lexus. So to answer your question, he calibrated it with his computer tool, and the steering vibrated during the process. I drove it for a week, and the alert came up again, "check power steering system."

What were the errors codes before and after rack replacement?

Not codes, except a pop-up from the dashboard saying "check power steering system." Have your vehicle checked by a dealer. This is all I get before and after vehicle repair.

Sounds like you took it to the wrong mechanic, if there were never any trouble codes it would be interesting to know what the logic was behind the decision to replace the assembly…then of course the module was next, I wish you luck.

If you get "Check power steering system" there is always an error code. The issue is only a few error code readers can access the power steering module. Get Techstream and get error codes otherwise it is a waste of time and money.

There has to be an error code, it will tell you where on the control system or hardware the problem is thought to be by the car.

I get it, and I understand your point, but both Lexus and my mechanic pointed at the same parts for replacement. Here's the code my mechanic sent me: C1532 EHPS. Before starting to change any parts. Thank you for your contribution. I appreciate it.

Okay well that's the control module, check the torque sensor connector at the for water intrusion first though and al other connectors as any water will screw with the system. I've seen 3 with water causing issues
