Help pls …

my driver / passenger temperature display just went blank , Ac / heat works fine ….

I can only see temperature on the main screen when I press the buttons

Any help pls ??

I checked all fuses and all seems ok .

 

This is part of the radio head unit. Might have to replace it or send it out for repair. They not particularly expensive used from ebay but close to 3 grand if you buy it new from dealer (it is ML system as far as I can see on the photo). Had to replace it in my 2017 earlier this year for similar issue. Got overhauled unit for about 1700 or so.

 

are u saying that when you replaced the radio , the Ac unit numbers came back on ?
My Radio was replaced at the dealer a few years ago for other reasons .

 

In my case I was loosing AC control buttons, not the temperature numbers themselves. When radio got replaced AC controls came back. You can try to adjust dash backlighting to the maximum and check if you can see anything at all (better do it in the darkness). If nothing visible at all you can check all the connectors on the back of the radio. However, if backlighting for other buttons is working and all control functions are working, it is most likely radio itself. Maybe worth having dealer or some proper shop to check it, just to have second opinion.

 

Are the headlights always on or on auto? I would make sure off so not affected by dimmer.
