HAHA! @FlexnLexus , well your infidelity was right in your screen name and we just missed the signs so this is probably on us. Too funny, I picked up an 07 RX350 last year and made the same joke, called it my mistress.

I agree I have seen 430's start to drop a bit. I think the $66k one on BaT 2 years-ish ago was the peak where people finally said uh yeah, this is crazy. Those 2 examples of 460's I use are extreme, but just where I think the market is headed. @Bobmaine 's comment is timely as I had not kept up with that, but that led to some of the 430 rage; COVID drove used car prices up, but then automotive journalists were dogpiling the 430's with love, so now if they are dogpiling the 460's with love, that lends to my theory that values will rise in the coming 2-3 years. Then of course as mentioned the line is dead now so that will aid values some too. Sadly, if I am able to swing a 3rd vehicle, it won't be for a couple of years so I will likely be paying peak values. SOO happy I got my 430 right before COVID started.

@Striker223 , economies of scale, sir. Comparisons mean little in the face of personal purchase power.

I would be surprised if they ever start to appreciate.

I was looking to trade my 2014 LS with 80k miles in July. CarMax offered me $20k. I think that was partly due to the timing and other used car prices in general being so high. However, I also noticed they had zero LS460s on their web site. So supply was down and prices were up!

I decided to keep the car - maybe in a couple more years.

Purchased a 2016 LS460 from Annapolis MD. with 34,000 in 2025. Paid $33,000. Silver with Black interior. An absolute DREAM! Took 500 mile trip last friday and returned last sunday. No driver fatigue at all. averaged 80mph. Brake booster needs replacement --however purchased extended warranty from from Lexus at purchase for $5200. $2000 fix. probably didn't need the warranty but glad i did. will keep this LS for as long as possible. other car is a GX460. we're good for a long time.

In my head my theory is confirmed. The last 2 430's on BaT indicate the values are dipping. An 04 black on rare saddle CL with 58k went for $31k a week ago and just today a total creampuff 05 UL with refreshed air suspension and 58k only made it to $32k. There may be an anomaly here and there, but I would say 430's have peaked. A year ago those both would have been $5k more. It could be that 460's will start to make more appearances and the values will begin rising more, as I predicted above because, well, I'm just that brilliant.

I've been watching LS prices also,
I agree, retail prices are still high and skyrocket when mileage is low and one-owner status.
This is good, we have a 2016 LS460 that we may consider trading in on the new model in the near future.
Although, with 50,000 miles on it, WHY WOULD WE????? [

Make sure you thouroughly test drive the LS 500. Not as smooth as the LS 460 they say.

I'm test-driving a 2019 LS with way too any miles on it for us to get serious with it. I just want to see what' it's like. Our 2016 is the best of two years (2016-2017), so i'd rather consider the last wo years of the current model---when we do get more serious.

That is a fair price for very low miles on the last years of this wonderful car. Have already bought a full set of front suspension parts for when that job is needed. Will own this car for a long time!
where did you buy your parts from?

I’m sitting on (on “in”, rather) my 2015 460L, RWD, no air, silver/tan w/ LEDs, 48,500 on the odo, always seeing a few times a year if it made sense to switch to the 500. Had one for a loaner last year for 2 days and nope … it didn’t. If I had an A7, or something of that class, maybe, but not coming from the V8 460. But what to do go to next? Just keep driving this cream puff at 3k per year and maybe that’s it! It has lived a pretty easy SoCal garaged life.

I do wonder, however, how much I can get for her.. LOL

I bought the driver side headlight from a wholesale Lexus parts supplier from a Google search - $1,800 and an auto parking brake switch for about $100 and then add labor to install these parts for another $600 or so. Total was about $2,500. Then I bought a set of stock non chrome wheels for about $800 and had them refinished in the original color powder coat $300 plus new Michelin tires - total of about $2,600 or so.

The front suspension parts was a story. Bought the set of 8 Lexus front suspension parts from a Japan eBay seller a week before the tariffs went into effect earlier this year. Was a great price vs US prices. The 25% tariff and shipping cost made the Japan sourced parts about $250 higher than the US parts cost from a Lexus wholesaler. Sigh.

The price of a used car is what a potential buyer would like to pay for it, period.
Just advertise the car and see what you can get, like it sell it otherwise just keep it !
Don't expect miracles !

It’s just something about the LS 460 that makes it very hard to let go of. It’s like when you were a teeny tiny rug rat running around the house dragging your blanky. It feels familiar, it’s reliable, it’s cozy, it’s comfy, and it’s still one of the better driving and riding sedans on the market to this day. The 460 is my adult blankly. 😊

I hope in couple of years the prices for the 2013+ models will eventually start to drop to levels that’s obtainable for majority of people without having to fork out a large loan.

Another article was published yesterday about how new cars are being left on the lot in favor of used cars, so used cars in general will continue to hold and in some cases rise.

You’re not wrong with that assessment. Check out the asking price for this non L model 2012 LS 460 I found locally from buy now pay later type dealership.

For that kind of mileage, and being white with a tan interior is the worst color combination that I can think of.

that’s a $8k car all day IMO.
