Default Audio Off - LS460 2009

I have 2009 model LS460 and audio does not turn on at all. It happened 5 months ago and I noticed that in a rainy day it had malfunction (unable to control volume, it did not turn on) and during the sunny day it worked fine. Now it is totally dead. Other screen functions are all good (NAV etc).

What I did up to now.
Fuse check - they are all good condition.
Amp check - it seems dry (I did not detach the amp completely from the trunk, but visually seems okay.
System check - NCON Audio (please see the picture)
If you advise me what to check or next step, It would be appreciated.

Did both your stereo audio on all channels (Radio, disc, aux) stop working in addition to the beep sound when pressing the buttons in the navigation?

NCON refers to not connected. It's fairly common for the amplifier to blow, die, or start making random noises with any assortment of associated issues- some blow fuses and go dead silent (mine), while a local friend had his start screeching and chirping but didn't blow a fuse.

If all audio channels are dead, it's likely the amplifier is dead. Remove it from the trunk, there's a sticker on it with a serial label- something like 0W480 yadda yadda, that's what you'd want to find as a replacement

Yes, both audio and navigation beeping sound was gone. As you said, the amp seems dead. I removed it from the right side of the trunk (86280-0W480) and it seems fairly ok cosmetically. I called a local repair shop and they are asking $350 (I am hesitant to fix it).
Currently I am waiting for LS460 in local junk yard.
Thank you for you knowledge sharing.

Finally I could fix it!
I took out the amp from the trunk and sent it out for repair. I got it back and reinstalled it and it worked!
Painfully I spent $300 for this, but I can drive with music.

Did the repairer say what was wrong with the amp?

I can see from the part # that it is a Mark Levinson system.

That is important distinguishing information.

Also, you might like to provide the name/contact details of the repair shop.

This information will be helpful to other members in the future.

Hi Leadfoot6
It is ML system. I did not ask what part went wrong and how they fixed from them.
I found the repair shop from ebay (https://www.ebay.com/itm/166212455769, Paulison Corp) and the listing asking was $325, but I could bring it down to $300 (Best Offer).
I hope this helps many people.

Thanks

Thank you for the useful information.

Edit: Please try not to use abbreviations such as "ML" as they rarely register as a search term result.

Try to use the full "Mark Levinson" term.

The same goes for so many other abbreviations and acronyms in so many other threads.

The 3 or 4 seconds and effort saved by using shortcuts can and does cause other posters genuine frustration and possibly even real money when they cannot find a search result because someone previous has resorted to a minor time and/or effort saving measure.

And if anyone does not believe me see the screenshot I uploaded above using ML as a search term in the
LS - 4th Gen (2007-2017) sub-forum.
