Just bought a used 2008 LS 460 around six weeks ago and so far it's been great. Recently, I've just been getting some of the expected maintenance done like the control arms and a couple other smaller things. Anyways, when I bought the car, the CD player worked for about 10 days but then stopped working after that. Loading the disk in and everything works and the correct track and information shows up on the screen. The timer showing the progress through the song even works, but I hear nothing. I tried to fiddle around with it a little bit, but to no avail. I still need to try to disconnect and reconnect the battery to see it that'll do anything.

I understand that the Mark Levinson amps in these cars have issues. Could it be an electrical problem, or is the entire amp toast? Everything else up front works including radio, aux, etc.

 

If the radio works, it's not the ML amp.
