Default Torque Converter Pilot Bearing?

Does my 2008 LS not have one? My mechanic friend was shocked when we pulled out tranny to swap with used Tranny.

Thanks

I've never seen such a thing. Doesn't make sense since the torque converter is bolted to the flex plate which turns exactly in time with the crankshaft.

A pilot bearing is what your clutch fork pushes against to disengage the clutch. Unless your looking at a manual transmission or maybe a DCT or even a sequential transmission you probably still have a pilot bearing but on a torque converter automatic, nothing resembling a pilot bearing is going to be found

Doesn't exist except in manual cars.
