Decoding Vin number to determine features
This site has a VIN decoder but I find it lacks a lot of information as well.

It's called a vehicle Inquiry report. First it list all the 2 digit option codes that your car has like: FY LR MH NV PF Z2. Then it lays out what is included with each of those codes: It list the build date, ship date, retail date, date of first use, interior color code, exterior color code, engine number etc.
FY: 19 inch 5 spoke Aluminum Alloy wheels with 245/45R19 all season tires
LR: Rear Seat upgrade. List all the stuff that comes with that: It's a lot
MH: Mark Levinson Audio 19 speaker etc.
NV: Luxury Value Edition HDD Navigation etc.
PF Premium Floor Mats
Z2: Accy Pkg Cargo Net,Trunk Mat, Wheels Locks, Rear bumper Applique
It tells you where these options were installed Factory or Port
Hope this helps

So no, you didn't waste your time. Sorry if I was right in the middle of work when I read your post. I thought a response could wait until I actually got the report 🙄

A lot of the VIN decoders simply have the standard features of the car listed and not "options/packages" (or if they do, you have to sift through lots of garbage to find them).
I said this a couple of times but I'll say it again, because this does keeps on popping up. I'm not sure what US-side portal you all use shows, but afaik (and ik) only way to obtain a rather detailed list of options (as well as finally be able to see what particular part no was installed on this particular VIN, revisions etc. EPC does not have that) is to use TMC Microcat, which is accessible to shops and dealers in EU (at least, I use it) for a fee, and it's completely online. That's all I know, but that's where the particular vehicle's factory config info lives.

You have to pay a tad for this but it will give you a replica of the window sticker that would have come with the vehicle you are looking at. Beats a long drive to a Lexus dealer. https://monroneylabels.com
