I didn't use the software with this ebay (VCX Nano) seller since I already had version 12 install with the previous cable. That alibaba vendor provide me version 17 on a small cd but I couldn't get that version to connect with the car. The $25 cable did work with the Version 12 that I found through a google search at the time. The $25 cable allow me to configure the settings in the car but couldn't give me real time engine data. The site I got it from looked pretty sketchy. I picked version 12 because my research indicated that version seem to be most stable with the year of my car (2007)..

In short (idk how many times, people refuse to use search) - 'MiniVCI' is a clone of very old Xhorse MVCI (google it). Some of those will even show live data, but super slow, plus you can't e.g. do TPMS writing.
- VCX (nano, wifi, etc) - obviously VCX clones. Never had one, been tempted by wifi one though. If you got one working - please try TPMS! Telltale sign if adapter got all those extra pins in DLC connector necessary to pull that off.
- 'other cable'. I will not put any indication about how it looks or costs but it exists in chinaland. - complete mongoose clone. Unicorn. Does everything. Fck.. beans had been spilled. But it's Christmas!!

Latest Techstream is V18. Cable 'n3' works with that with no problems whatsoever under win11 64.

Hi Boykie, what TPMS function would you want me to try? don't have any TPMS issues right now and live in CA so I don't need to switch to winter tires.

Writing sensor IDs. If you're brave enough you can just re-input your current ones in the TPMS utility.

Sorry for the late reply as I was hesitant to try the TPMS function. This past weekend, I moved some tires from another LS460 and did the TPMS utility to enter the 5 sensor IDs. Early last month, I was also able to perform air bleeding and Brake Actuator replacement. Used my old windows laptop, VCX Nano cable from ebay, and techstream version 12.
