Exactly my point...
I'm sorry my friend but there are simply too many variables here for a legit comparison.
Which OE struts do the Excels feel identical to? The used OE removed from the front, the used 04-06 struts removed from the rear, or the new 01-03 installed on the rear a year after the front Excels were installed and after a month (guessing 1k miles) of getting used to them...? Also, let's not forget how important tires are for overall suspension feel. Were the tires the same age/wear through the past 2 years of iterations?

Alot of aftermarket struts have a break in period. Identical in terms of dampening characteristics to 04-06 struts.

Waiting on new shocks in the mail. Broke down and canceled my OE 01-03 shocks and found a good deal on Excel G shocks - $210 shipped for both fronts.
