Cd door won't open to load cds
I haven't used my Mark Levinson CD player for years, but it was working fine since I've owned the car (12 years). Today, I tried loading. I get the beep after holding down the load button, but the door does not open. There are no error codes on the screen. Are there any tricks I should know? I haven't disconnected the battery yet, and all other functions of the radio (tape player and radio) work fine. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks all.

I had an issue a few years ago, I don't remember the exact situation, but unhooking the battery fixed it.
YMMV but def worth a try... |

I think I only waited like 5 minutes, not sure about any settings.

I’ve had this happen a few times. Disconnecting the negative terminal on the battery for a few minutes should fix it.

UPDATE: Disconnected battery for 10 minutes. Now I get CD error and when pressing CD load again it reads CD Seek. I guess the CD player is shot. I've been using an old Ipod Shuffle with a tape adapter to listen to my songs. I guess that's my only option as I'm not investing in repairing an old unit. I was hoping for an easy fix. Oh well.
