Default LS430 on BaT

Curious to see where this car will go. Great color, Ash interior is really nice... just sucks about possible rust and corrosion due to its location.

I bet this ends up being an $18k car when the auction ends.

18K might be conservative. I've seen these LS430s bringing sky high prices. An 04 UL recently brought $30,350 but it did have 37,000 miles.

Interior shows some wear that I wouldn't associate with a car of that mileage or one that commands a top price.

Yeah, really.

And that underside has seen a few CT winters, that's for sure, just based off that diff pic they included. Not to mention, it's the "worst" LS430 trim (at least in my opinion, since the ML trim still has the outdated screen but none of the interior touches that the CL or UL have). But I do like the ash color.

I love these cars as much as all of you here, but anything over $12k is literally just because it was listed on BaT, that's it.

^ Agree. Out in western WA there have been a number of examples like this with similar mileage and they appear to be selling 10-15K tops lately, and these are rust free west coast cars too.

Idk, I think the bubble is popping? Or airing out some. Special 1 owner low mile mint examples shoots through the roof and or avaibilty is a factor so it depends. Imo the one in our market place is asking too high, maybe paint correction and interior detail before presenting it to command that price.

Yeah, I paid that acquisition cost. I took it right in for the belt/water pump/fluid exchanges and the guys were complimentary of the condition. I've changed all original interior filters, the hood and trunk lift supports, the sound is like brand new (I had a 2004 GX 470 from new for nine years), so no speaker refurb needed. This replaced a 2019 Acura RLX that "safety features" felt like there was an additional driver in the car, constantly braking for no real hazards (vehicles in their lane, approaching on curved roads, etc) and I needed to get a legacy automobile that would support one driver, just me, at a time. I may have wrecked the valuation curve, but so be it: I have the last car I'll ever own.

Makes me curious what I could get for my LS430 if I tried to sell it right now. I don't really want to sell it and I still really enjoy the car but the next thing is always better. I'd be really happy if I could get into the right RC F... but then, I really enjoy not having a car payment at all.

A few days left on the auction... let us see where it goes.

Be careful - in the case of owning an LS430, your next car may not be better. I am pretty sure I will badly miss my LS430 when and if it comes time to pass it on.

Romanova, We sold our 2005 mercury metallic and 3 months later bought a black 2004. I regretted selling the 2005 the next day.

So everyone knows, ok. Wow!!! $18,500 for 78k second owner, non-UL. I would not have done it. For $18.5, I would want under 60k, original owner, records, and those do appear still from time to time.
Well, Kudos to them; I'll bet they made money. I am going to resume my lusting after new cars start getting cranked out again, hence driving the used values back down.
Can't believe I bought my 2004 in 2019, so same age essentially, with 78k in as good or better condition than this from the original owner for $10,500, 5 months before the pandemic. I feel fortunate.
