Knock sensor wiring diagram
I have a 2001 LS430 and need to change out one of the knock sensors. I already have 470,000 miles on it and simply want to wire in a new sensor without pulling the intake manifold out. Does anyone know when the knock sensor harness connects to outside of the intake manifold? I know, cheap *** way to go but it’s my extra commuter and do not want to put any more money into it.
Thanks for any tips.

I ran into this issue a while ago and after about 6 months of research I determined it’s either a full blown knock sensor swap ($1k+ at a shop, 6 hour job at home with tons of little brittle plastic clips that could break, etc) OR bypassing the bad knock sensor by splicing the wires near the ECU. If you search LS430 Knock Sensor Bypass in this thread, a member explained it step by step with pictures.
