Default P1120 Accelerator Pedal Position Sensor IS ACTUALLY CALLED PEDAL TRAVEL SENSOR

Solved. Part is available under different name.

Just a quick question. 2001 ls430 is limping. Only code is P1120 Accelerator Pedal Position Sensor Circuit.

Trying to price the sensor online in case I need to replace it, can't find one, only Throttle Body Position Sensors. Are they one and the same or two different things?

Does my car even have an APP sensor? Can't find the part anywhere.

Not yet. I still have to test the circuit to determine whether the problem is the pedal travel sensor or something else in the circuit. Planning to do that this afternoon.

I tested the circuit per a flowchart I found. It's telling me the ECU might be the problem. I started a new thread asking for advice about how to proceed.

@JimLindsay What part # did you get and did you replace just that sensor in Yamae's picture or did you replace the entire assembly?
@Yamae Do you have a part number for just that sensor?

Can anyone figure out what the differences are between the following 3 part numbers?
78010-50010
78010-50011
78010-50020

78010-50010 is named "ROD ASSY, ACCELERATOR PEDAL" on Amayama, $305.14
78010-50010 is named "Pedal Travel Sensor" on MyLParts, LexusPartsNow, Longo Lexus, $246.79. LexusPartsNow says 50010 will fit my 2002's VIN, while Longo Lexus says 50010 will NOT fit my 2002's VIN. Longo's website auto-recommends part 78010-50020 (Pedal Travel Sensor) for $573.90

Partsouq shows that 78010-50011 "ROD ASSY, ACCELERATOR PEDAL" can be substituted with 78010-50020 " "ROD ASSY, ACCELERATOR PEDAL", both $327.59, but neither are available for purchase from Partsouq anymore.

parts.lexus.com doesn't show any of these 3 part numbers.

Aftermarket part "STANDARD MOTOR PRODUCTS APS170" is the entire assembly but no longer available at RockAuto.

I can only guess that there was a known defect in the 50010 and 50011 (such as the common acceleration hesitation and input lag) that was corrected in the 50020 update. Can anyone confirm?

I think I posted more detail on another, much longer thread. The trick was pulling out the assembly, looking at the part number on the controller itself, and searching for that part number. It's easy to find as a Totota part, but if you search for a Lexus part it only shows you the whole assembly.

I wound up having a wiring issue instead of a bad part, so I still have the part I ordered. I've attached photos.
