Unhappy Oil Level Sender Location

Hey whats up guys, so i had my wife take my 2001 ls430 into get inspected before i do any heavy modding and it becomes a pain in the a** to work on and they told me that my OIL LEVEL SENDER,CRANKSHAFT SEAL, and OIL PAN GASKET were all leaking. However he told her that the oil level sender was on the side of the engine but not specifically where. i tried looking it up and i have found the location being under the intake on a few other Lexus's however none for mine. Could anyone shine some light for me. TIA

Driver’s side. Not sure the exact location but not totally easily accessible. Be absolutely sure what’s leaking before starting to remove things. I had oil leaking onto my oil pan area. We thought it might be the oil pan and rear main as well. Turns out it was the dip stick o ring, and the oil sender unit, not the oil sender seal. The pan seal was fine and so was the rear main. You need to fix one part at a time to be sure where the oil is coming from. FYI.... The oil pan seal is a real pain to do. The upper pan is a monster job but not as common. Good luck.

I've got a leak coming from a similar area, trying to figure out where its coming from. It ends up on the pan and dripping off but I think its coming from higher up like the oil dipstick oring or the level sensor. I'm going to try to get under it this weekend and try to get a good look up there.

The dip stick 0 ring is more common than most are aware of. . That little 0 ring gets super brittle and leaks. I saw mine after it was removed and it was like a fossil. The 0 ring is also in a precarious place and removing the dip stick filler tube is a chore. The oil level sender can also cause leaks. Since oil leaks get blown around with the engine and air currents, it's best to narrow each one down before proceeding. Wash everything down thoroughly and after a few hundred miles look at it carefully. You'll probably need a mirror to see it closely.
