Picking up a 2005 later this week!
A 2005 sliver 430 with 112k miles popped up at a local dealer. No major red flags. It needs new tires before winter, and the telescoping steering wheel doesn't work, but that is about it. All maintenance was performed at a local Lexus dealer, and the timing belt was replaced along with the water pump at 91k miles.
I'm not afraid of doing work myself, and it looks like the telescoping wheel is a pretty simple fix. I can hear the motor working, so likely it's just a worn bushing/nut. I found the step by step write up in this site, so I'll dig into that once I have the car.
This vehicle was so comfortable compared to what I've been driving lately. The cooled seats felt fantastic
I'm exciting to jump into the LS 430 world!

Congrats! 112k is just a baby. Me I pulled the fuse when I first got my car and never looked back, on the tilt/telescope. It dawned on me that all of our cars manually tilt/telescope yet we have never touched them (well I guess this means I selected a position and my wife never touched them subsequently--I keep the wheel low and as far away). Having it be power assist is not useful imho, like the headrests or seat belt height....
Well some wonderful lady decided red lights are optional, along with auto insurance and totaled the car. I really enjoyed the car for the short period I had it so now I'm in the hunt for another clean LS430 in the Indianapolis area.
She was hung on site right? Oh wait, thats right, nothing ever happens to people who have no insurance LOL. They can get pulled over and get a ticket, yet if they hit someone they get away no problem.
Sorry for your loss.
