Afs light on ls 430

Can some one please advise how to disable flashing AFS light on 2005 LS 430 by removing the fuse.
What is the name and location of fuse?
where is the fuse box?
will removing fuse affect any other function of the car/light?

I can’t remember the exact fuse but it was located in the passenger footwell. It disabled AFS and I haven’t had any issues since. I did have to manually adjust my headlights but that wasn’t too bad..

Thank you.

Just go ahead and replace the sensor it's worth it and not that hard.

Not very handy to replace sensor. I do not wish to spend lot of money taking it to dealer for an old 2005 car. If taking fuse out wold stop falshing AFS light without affecting the head lights in any way (other than not adjusting automatically during turns), I can live with straight/non-turning headlights as I am used to that in my other cars.
Just need to location of the fuse for AFS
Thanks.

Please look on the passenger-side fuse box for a fuse called "H-LP LVL". This fuse provides power to the AFS ECU.

If I pull the fuse, will the light go away?

Yes it does. Pulled mine about a year ago. No problems since.

Thanks again, Great site!

Will 01-06 sensors fit all 01-06 LS's? Will SC430 sensors fit LS430 and are they on same side of cars?

They are pretty cheap on e bay and easy to replace just pulled mine off the lower recirculating ball is frozen.

If ya sell your LS and it is hooked up to a scanner will it show a fuse was pulled and the AFS sensor was in-op?

It's literally three 10mm nuts and a plug, which you should then cover with grease to keep water out. That's it. Turned car back on, headlights gimbaled up, light went off.

It's in the left rear wheel well, which is kind of a dumb place because all the winter crap hits it. If you're flexible, you can just chock the wheels and wiggle under to get at it with a ratchet, no lift needed. I replaced mine that way, a new OEM one was $200 from a dealer liquidation. I would not recommend the Chinese knockoff, they apparently don't work well for long.

Ya it’s prolly easier than doing your oil. The star screw on the end of arm with the two ball joints is screwed onto a slot the part itself is anchored by two screws. Does the arm need to be finessed in the slot up or down for proper function ? I am just going to put it where the star screw sat on slot last time to start. New did the 2 balls have grease in the rubber boots? Thanks. I will shoot a picture when I install next week

If my rusty ol LS took 200 k to corrode out the part I highly suggest replacements with bone yard parts from in this case California. 53 bucks after eBay bucks to my door light instantly off

Adding this to my list of parts that I need to check and definitely will get a spray with Fluid Film.
