The LS430 height sensor is simply a potentiometer (also known as a rheostat) which acts a variable resistor. It is attached to the car's suspension, and is subjected to constant movement as you drive. As such, a cheap replacement will not last nearly as long as the OEM part. However, there should not be significant differences between the OEM part versus its knock-off counterpart when both are new. In other words, if your new $30 sensor does not work, the problem is likely caused by something else, and a $100 new sensor will not address the issue.

Try checking your fuses and see, there should be a light on the center/left side of dash that says AFS OFF when disabled.
It didn't flash continuously until I changed it out!
Did you keep the old sensor? If so, try reconnecting the old sensor and see if the "AFS OFF" light stop flashing. No need to uninstall the new sensor from the car, just move the electrical connector.
