I think it shows that everyone has upped their games, and there are more alternative to 4 door luxury sedan.
Hyundai Genesis looks pretty good, and so is KIA K900. Maybe these are not direct comparison to LS500, but these are cheaper, and tbh I do not go "Wow!" over LS500.

2008-2012 Toyota Land Cruiser or another low mile LS430. I would also consider a low mile rust free 1998-2000 LS400 with the wood grain steering wheel and HIDs. Neither my 1998 Land Cruiser with 250K miles, nor my 2006 LS430 with 230K have been to a mechanic in 8 years, With Techstream and ability to do a few *fun* diy maintenance projects, I enjoy quite a few good chuckles with my coworkers and their car woes(and worse, financial pitfalls). I did look at LS460s and like them, but parts are still abundant for all of these 1998-2006 cars. 2008+ Land Cruisers are Lexus quality trim in every way, but don't have the air suspension system crutch. Also, Land Cruiser was designed by Toyota to have a 25 year service life instead of the ~10 year quality you normally see.

Apology that I digress, lets go back to discussion at hand but had to give a shout out to another LC owner

Something with more power. A v12 or something. A Merc s600 or Audi s8 with a v10. That's if I couldn't afford a ls460 by time my 430 is dies (if it ever will).

What next
Because I'm in the NE and feel time to get an AWD, eyeing a 2015 LS460L AWD with about 30k for $33k. UL edition and looks in very good condition.
