i just can't win......
thought i was making some leeway. got all the lights out on the dash. everything seems to be running ok. so i try to tackle the next problem, the radio. searching didn't bring up any fixes (volume knob doesn't work right. sometimes when i try turning up the volume goes down & vice versa). so i purchase a replacement radio (NAV unit w/ ML). take everything apart to install. 1st one was wrong information & had the incorrect plugs on the back. so i have to put everything back together.
fast forward a little i order another radio. seller says they give a 1 year warranty. verify it is the correct radio. take everything apart last night to install. get everything in. test the volume and it works great. so i start putting everything back together. once all back together, i go to put a couple of the cd's i had in my original unit into this one........cd error. i figure, no big deal, never listen to them anyway since my GROM unit was installed. but in order to get that to work, you hit the cd button twice.......and nothing happens. so now i have to wait for the seller to email me back to see what can be done. guess i'll have to re-install my old unit so i can listen to my music again. |
Sorry to hear we've all been there...I had to install not 1, but 3, "new," not remanuf starters, in my Nissan. Lifetime warranties (which the mfg. has now retracted after the fact) are nice, but it's all our own labor. That's when a tech told me never install "new" or remanuf starters, rebuild it yourself, this is the only way the quality will be the same as what came from the factory. Hope you get it sorted out....

I had the same CD issue with mine and replaced it with a used Ebay unit. I spoke to the seller before buying to make sure he understood if it had issues I would be returning it. Luckily, this one has worked perfect. I did the same with the Navigation. Good luck man, you'll get it.

You have to make sure the 4 digit number on the front of the Cassette player matches the one in the replacement unit. There were multiple radios made for the LS430.
