FatherTo1's post with the maintenance chart is baffling in one respect. I had an '03 GS 300 that, prior to my ownership, had its timing belt replaced twice (in 71,000 miles!) per Lexus service records. However, that chart plainly states it has a timing chain. It looks like some research is in order!

All of the GS300's have timing belts. The engine is the 2jz and never had a chain. They went to a timing chain with the GS350 with the V6.
