It's mine...again.

So happy this site exists!

Back story (scroll below if it doesn't interest you):

When I was 14, my dad got a brand new '03 LS430 UL to replace his '94 LS400 (which I got at 16 with 136k and took to well over 200k; perfect car for a teenager), but since I can drive like a sane person I ended up putting the first 8k on that bad boy...they may not be the most powerful of all the luxury sedans, but they are really well thought out leaving me wanting another for the longest time.

Fast forward 15 years to last month:

Dad gives me the '03, now with 212k on it...and most of the stuff still works. Door lock motors need to be done, side mirrors have that classic folding problem, steering wheel doesn't telescope, and the front window motors are slow with the passenger side getting stuck, cruise control sensor doesn't work thanks to a rock smashing it, the side mirror switch needs to be cleaned, and the sub is blown...that's the entire list of stuff that I wouldn't consider wear and tear after so long.

After going over a massive pothole, I'm getting a squeaking noise from the front left that turns into a scraping sound when in reverse and the wheels are turned...also fairly certain every bushing probably needs to be replaced.

I've looked around and there doesn't seem to be a clearly navigable way to a troubleshooting section, can anyone post a link?

Start here...

The lock actuator motors can be replaced for less than $10 a piece if you do it yourself. Subwoofer can be fixed with a $20 kit. Telescopic wheel motors are not cheap...

I just got the motors in yesterday, hopefully will get to all the doors this weekend.

Congrats on the new/old ride!

Thanks but with regard to the locks...

I noticed this car has a production date of 09/2002 and I've read that some actuators need to be put back together using zip ties vs others that just need a Phillips...anyone care to guess which version mine are?

Also, are those GROM units recommended for adding hands-free/audio capability? A system made by Parrot is currently wired in but I think better solutions exist and this throws a "taillamp failure" message in the dash.
