On the LS, no, totally uneccessary, but YES, on my 2012 on my 2012 F150 Ecoboost (twin turbocharged) engine. The Ecoboost has a naturally aspirated PCV system, while it's a twin turbo engine. The PCV system, (as designed from factory) doesn't work properly unless you're at idle, lol.

Here's a link to probably THE SMARTEST Ford mechanic on Youtube installing, in my opinion, THE BEST catchcan that's available. I have it on my F150, purchased for $250.

Here's the owner/designer of that same & best catchcan (my opinion) doing an install of his catchcan....

I wish I had half the mechanical knowledge of what these guys have in their pinky.

All motors have blow by though and i am also more aggressive with my driving than most ls owners i am going to take my ls up to lime rock when the porche club is up there i allready talked to a member and they are cool with letting me run with them its $250 to run your car the entire day with an instructor so i am doing it, my ls with the sway bars chassis braces figs products headers and exhaust should be a fun car to run around the track. I also plan on running ebc yellow pads as well have not decided about tires i have to do more research into that.

Bridgestone RE-71R's are apparently a decent track/street tire. Unless you buy a dedicated set of track tires/wheels and change them at the track..

I am thinking about getting some lightweight 18" enkei or motegi wheels to use on the track with some tires, i was speaking with the gentleman who has a 2005 porche gt3 about tires, suspension, and that stuff he is the one who actually invited me out there to run with them, all i know is i cant wait for the salt to be off the roads so i can bring out sterling, install all the ultra racing stuff, get my parts from figs and get an exhaust made.
