Default Best place to buy a transmission, 2001LS430

Hi everyone, whats your thoughts on a good place to get a used or remanufactured transmission for my 2001 LS 430? I found a few online but I'm gun shy about buying a dud. Anyone had a good experience with an online seller?

Next to buying directly from a Lex/Toy dealer, I would probably say THIS site is the best place to buy a tranny. ALSO, you can offer a lower price than what they're asking! If I were you, I'd offer like $100 less and see what they say. There is one listed as "A GRADE", and looks like the asking prices are around $575, AND they come with a 1 year warranty! Check them out here... https://www.tlsautorecycling.com/sea...exus/ls430/400

E aby from a high rated seller. See the car see the mileage, call the seller look for something really low miles. How much does it cost to toss in a tranny If I may ask? The trannys are bulletproof otherwise.

http://www.car-part.com

You can search locally or nationwide and it shows mileage of vehicle.

Thanks for the input guys. After more research I'm leaning towards a valve body solenoid problem. Description as follows. After starting must put in drive, hold brake pedal down, rev to 1000-1200 rpm, wait 30-90 seconds for drive to engage then normal operation. No slippage, crisp shifts up and down. Also during waiting sometimes a surging feeling. P.S. 272000 miles, showroom condition, fully maintained. Paid 2495.00 I'm broke-assed carpenter, can't yet hardly believe I own such a great car.
