Where there is light or no light

Okay, this is simple, are there lights or no light located behind in front or inside any of these controls?
And how about the key ring too.

When I got my 04 LS430 UL, I didn't know there lights behind the seat heat switches because they were burned out.

Okay, I just want to say thanks to all who who took the time just to see if they had either a switch or background light for me. NOT. Really?

So as I sit my local Lexus service for my free 5,000 mile oil change, the service dept confirms there are three lights in that panel.

Now how hard will it be to pull out and change?

LOL! Well, I'm guilty of forgetting to check. Sorry. The day you posted your question I said to myself, hmmmm, I don't know the answer. I'll check later on tonight or tomorrow and reply.

NOT. lol.

I'll check mine today since I drove the LS to work. My LS isn't a good candidate to compare to though, because the lamps behind the heated/cooled seats, rear sunshade, and ECT buttons are dark!!! :( I still have to troubleshoot that issue. But I promise I'll reply after work today. ;)

ive pulled that panel out to clean my mirror switch that wasn't working. if you open the little change drawer you can get a grip on the bottom edge of that panel and pop it out. or use a plastic molding tool and carefully pry around the edges to pry it loose, two plugs in the back or maybe three. Only issue is I think the lights on those are small leds that are soldered in place? If I'm remembering right

There is lights behind them they are most likely the solder type ones message member rkw and ask nicely and he might have the lexus instructions.

Lexus gave me the build sheet showing at least three lights,

they are:84870B or 84999-10470
84873B or 90011-01017
89341F or 90011-01017

Looks like t4 type screw in.https://www.lexuspartsnow.com/parts/...mputer,,89341F
at least for one of them

How many of you guys driving around with dark panels?

As promised, here's a pic of my 2005 from tonight. Apparently my MIRROR lamps are not working. :(

Here are the 3 background bulbs. Super-bright is telling me they are a 4mm and 3 mm bulb. There was also a little peanut bulb soldered in place for the AUTO mirror function.
Easy to take out of the car. A real burger to separate them from the case then. $9.01 total. Will be cool white instead a green.
Lexus wanted $10 for one and $9 a piece for the other 2. Yikes and who knows how much they'd want to put them in.

I did my shift indicator bulb a few weeks ago and the green is actually a little condom that can be transferred to the new bulb. I'm guessing those are the same...

I wish I had taken the time to show how easy this was to change. A little apprehensive but it was easy to do. And should take no more then 10 mins each.
You can get any color you want from support@superbrightleds.com, and the web is https://www.superbrightleds.com/more...Specifications.

They are 4mm for the ones in front of the shifter. And the bulb for the shift illumination is a little different, its a 74 KED bukb-1 SMD led min Wedge retrofit. https://www.superbrightleds.com/more...tributes/10816

But the ones for the outside mirror control is 2 - 3mm and 1 - 4 mm. These were the hardest to replace, had to take apart the unit once I got it out. But if I can do it you can to. 10 mins.
The auto rotate (green) is a solder in mini bulb I didn't need to change. Was the only bulb working.
But Superbright is very good with email response. Send a picture and they will help you out. Any color is available too. I went with Cool white 6600.

Hope this helps
Dave
